Christmas 2009 SJ

The traditional family caroling on Uncle Bill's trailer
stacked with hay.

Usually we just knock on doors, sing and drive off. This year, Tana had made little carolers out of toilet paper rolls with a baby sock on top made to look like a beanie. She added a Christmas message from the Keith Udall's and a jar of homemade jam.
Quite a few of the regular families we carol to were not there -
Are they getting wise to the Udall singing?
Since 2003 we have ended our caroling at the cemetery singing to Gpa Keith -
"Families can be together forever", "I am a child of God," . . .
No one knew "If you could hie to Kolob", so next year, that is Stella's job to learn it.
We lit candles and placed them on top the headstone.

Since the Elm is no longer available (no comment) we go to the church for our soup buffet. This year we began the first annual indoor snowball fight - with socks and tables turned sideways. Luckily I had a huge bag of socks!!! (Where do all these random socks come from that no one will claim)
Then, we heard stories of Christmas from the Aunt & Uncle childhood.
Gpa Barry told the story of going to the store in Fredonia and selecting a gift -
a coat for little Herman Yellowhair.
Uncle Boomer read Luke 2.
(He has such a melodious voice)
Uncle Keegan had decorated the house. Inside and out.
The Christmas lights have never been better! Thanks Uncle Keeg.
