The Biggest Loser

Since November, Mitchell has lost 80 pounds - of course it was the same 7 pounds over and over again.
When he started wrestling practice following the football playoffs, he immediately lost 13lbs down to his 125 weight, but holding that was a battle.
He could write a book on surviving on boiled eggs, and sips of water. Even getting 2 pounds after Christmas didn't help. He would starve himself to make weight, then eating one meal and drinking enough to have energy to wrestle would BOOM put 7lbs back on. He spent hours running miles with layers, sleeping countless nights in front of the fire wearing several sweatsuits in the sleeping bag made for Mt. Everest to sweat it off. It probably didn't help that he goes to weights at 5:30 every morning and can bench and clean as much as kids almost twice his size, because we all know that muscle weighs more than fat.
Fortunately - it paid off - a second place to a state 4A kid, three first place tournaments - including regionals, and state medal winner - 5th place.
He was a force to reckon with - Don't mess with Mitchell is the word on the street.

On your mark, get set. . .

Let the games begin.

He can pin you while doing a head stand.

This move will cr*nk you over on your back

His bicep/tricep hold is unbreakable!

You'll beg for it to be over

Sometimes, it seemed almost effortless.

There is no hope when he is on his toes forcing you to your back.

This kid actually took state 2nd place because of the bracket placement.
He never had a chance with Mitch.

Charlotte could spin a web for this "humble" winner.

Wow, Mitchell! Awesome wrestling. Maybe go up a weight class next year, huh? Making weight is pretty rough! I'm proud of you for doing something that requires so much discipline, endurance, and determination...good for you.
